This article will act as your guide for everything you need to know about the class on the mmo platform (not the mobile version), including information such as what kind of class the Summoner falls under (this may sound odd now, but we do not want to give away any secrets just yet). Also we will explain the tier list of difficulty the Summoner sits on so you know how easy or difficult the character will be to play.

So strap in as we embark on Blade & Soul’s Summoner class!

Here’s a brief summary of this class: Yes, it is the Summoner class, but more importantly it is one of the most versatile classes in the entire game!

It can easily be described as the jack of all trades. Your Summoner calls a Familiar to take damage for it and aid in close-ranged combat, while your Summoner casts deadly spells from long distances. With ranged attacks and a Familiar drawing aggro, you can begin to understand why it is considered a very versatile class!

The Summoner also has generic defense and support skills which add to its all-round abilities and make it easy to use for every player, but we will discuss that in greater detail later on.

According to the official website, the Summoner is rated at 2 out of 5 stars for difficulty. This does not necessarily mean that a Summoner is the easiest to master. It would actually mean that the learning curve for this summoner-and-summoned duo is gentle. You’ll find that the Summoner’s long-ranged attacks and the Feline’s close-ranged aggro-style combat essentially forms the offense-defense team up we need to survive in this game – DPS’s tend to lose HP too easily, while tanks simply can’t dish out enough damage to make their training worthwhile.

The Summoner’s first two skills, “Rosethorn” and “Butterfly Swarm”, both inflict earth and wind-elemental damage. They act as a one-two attack against a single enemy that can easily be critically injured. They can be invested into and become “awakened” versions to inflict even more damage and brighten up your computer screen with additional SFX.

The next two skills are “Footloose”, which decreases the Chi recovery time of a party member or the Summoner by 6 seconds, and “Helping Paw”, which does exactly what it sounds like, resurrecting an unconscious ally. These are the defense skills the Summoner has, giving this class a repertoire of skills all around the house!

Of course, there are more skills you can peruse, such as “Rumblebees” that summon a swarm of bees to inflict wind damage, and “Sunflower” that inflicts earth damage. Look forward to using them to bombard enemies while your Feline pummels them into a hapless bunch in the ground!

Now comes the exciting part! Well, of course, learning skills and unleashing them onto your enemies is exciting, but we are deign to think that the summoning of your Feline partner is equally exhilarating too!

After completing your tutorial (or rather, the introductory quest), “Master Hong’s Summons,” your screen will be dazzled by the cuteness overload of 5 different Familiars! It’s such a pity you can only choose one! All the 5 available Familiars are, of course, cats and their different breeds are purely aesthetic. They’re named Feisty, Fido, Fifi, Fluffy, and Frisky, and yes all their names begin with the letter “F”, which makes for an additional ooze of cuteness! Choose any lovable fur ball you want, we want you to enter a state of indecisiveness (insert evil cat laughter)!

Class description – check. Skills – check. Cute cat – check. With all these pointers, surely you’d be tempted to play as the Summoner! Even if it’s just to try, you’ll know it’ll be well-worth the cuteness deluge, and if you’re a cat-person, I think there’s no need for second thoughts on which class to take!
