Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the sixteenth addition to the long running Call of Duty series and released at the end of 2019. A Narrative Style We Know and Love

Captain Price was retconned for this Modern Warfare title to take on another plot that involves yet another terrorist organization based out of the Middle East. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Call of Duty game without making some morally gray or rather morally comprehensible decisions. The name of the country involved in the game might be make-believe, but they made it seem as realistic as they possibly could.

Gaming in a Better Way

Night vision has always been hit-or-miss with these types of war games. It seems it has always been so restrictive and nothing like what it should be due to graphical limitations. However, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, night vision gameplay seems to be as close to the genuine article as we could realistically get in a video game. The focus on campaign gives us a nice break from endless grinds that modern games are so fond of, and the open-ended multiplayer maps are also a nice addition to replayability.

CGI Becomes Reality

Unoriginal storytelling aside, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of the better looking titles in the series due to the fact that they’re using a new gaming engine that mixes beautiful cinematics into the gameplay. In fact, the player moves seamlessly from cinematic into gameplay and visa versa. The barrier to fiction is switched off and the graphics make the game a very immersive cinematic experience.
