Without a doubt, millions of players across the globe are eagerly looking forward to playing the upcoming World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic later in 2021. It’s already mid-2021 at the time of this writing, so you can imagine how much anticipation has accumulated within us!
Much will change from the current Classic version of the game, enough so that it will even draw players away from the retail version of Shadowlands.
Burning Crusade adds 2 new Races: Blood Elves for the Horde and Draenei for the Alliance, putting the total number of available Races at 10.
If you take into account the 9 available Classes (Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warrior and Warlock), you get quite an impressive arsenal when it comes to choosing a Race/Class combo!
Most guides focus on talking about which Race is the best for each Class, but what if you’re still unsure which Class to play, but have your heart already set on a specific Class? Or vice versa?
For example, many players definitely want to play Humans, because they are “relatable”, or Blood Elves, because they are “pretty”.
For that purpose, we have written guides about which is the best Class to play for each Race in the Classic Burning Crusade.

THE ALLIANCE
Human
Available Classes: Warrior, Paladin, Rogue, Priest, Hunter
Humans form the core of the Alliance and are one of the two main Races featured in the game that started the whole Warcraft 1: Orcs and Humans franchise. They are rich in history and heavily favored among players.

The stout Dwarves are fierce in battle but even more so in the taverns of their mighty city of Ironforge!

Night Elf

Night Elves are an elusive and mystical race, dwelling at the Northern reaches of Kalimdor. Night Elves have been around for tens of thousands of years and have the lore to match.

Gnome
Available Classes: Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Warlock
Gnomes are as mischievous as they are ingenious! Driven from their homeland of Gnomeregan, they joined the rest of the Alliance and currently reside in the Dwarven fortress of Ironforge.

Draenei
Available Classes: Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Priest, Mage, Shaman
Draenei are the most recent addition to the Alliance, befriending the Night Elves upon crashing their space-ship, the Exodar, on Azeroth.

THE HORDE
Orc
Available Classes: Warrior, Rogue, Hunter, Shaman, Warlock
Orcs are to the Horde what Humans are to the Alliance. They are the glue that holds all the Races together, and the Warchief of the Horde, Thrall, resides in their city of Orgrimmar.

Undead
Available Classes: Warrior, Rogue, Priest, Mage, Warlock
Escaped from the Lich King’s grasp and led by the banshee ,Sylvanas Windrunner, the Undead joined the Horde and are hell-bent on getting revenge on Arthas… and possibly every living soul.

Tauren
Available Classes: Warrior, Hunter, Shaman, Druid
Peaceful and quiescent by nature, the noble Tauren were driven from their ancestral lands by the belligerent centaur. They needed help in fighting back, and they allied themselves with the Horde.

Troll
Available Classes: Warrior, Rogue, Priest, Mage, Hunter, Shaman
Trolls have a history dating back many tens of thousands of years and are one of the original races of Azeroth. Heavily diminished from their previous glory and torn apart by internal and external strife, they are currently led by Vol’jin and stand by the Orcs through thick and thin.

Blood Elf
Available Classes: Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Mage, Warlock
Formed when High Elves were corrupted through their addiction to magic, Blood Elves have been around for a long time, yet have only recently joined the Horde.
