Not many people know this, but Apex Legends hit a massive ten million players in just three days. In comparison, Fortnite attracted the same number of players over a 14-day period.

Making its mark almost instantly, Apex Legends quickly established itself as one of the leading online multiplayer games to date.
For players who are familiar with Titanfall, EA’s smash hit, Apex Legends uses the same universe as its core setting.
However, rather than being labelled a sequel to Titanfall, the game brings another dimension to players with its battle royale-style and format.

Vince Zampella, founder of American video game development firm Respawn Entertainment, commented:
“In 72 hours, over 10 million players have jumped into Apex Legends and we’ve breached 1 million concurrent players!”
Delighted at the figures, Zampella continued:
“This has been a truly incredible journey… We knew it would be risky to take the franchise in this direction, to go free to play, and do a surprise launch… We hoped you’d love it as much as us, but never in our wildest dreams could we have expected the outpouring of support and positivity we’ve seen.”
If you’ve had doubts about Apex Legends but are intrigued by the hype, why not give it a go? Vince Zampella promises more big things in the near future and is on record saying:
“This is just the beginning! We have so much more in store for you this year.”

The game offers exciting yet simplistic gameplay without the need to communicate online if you don’t want to, despite being a multiplayer game.
The concept is simple and brings together a multitude of qualities from other similar games but without the complexity of over-multitasking.

Although the game has only been released for a few months, it has already put its unique stamp on the gaming industry.
The game itself plays host to around sixty players at any one time. Players are divided into groups of three squads with one playing the leading role, choosing where their team lands on the island.
The aim of each round is to be the last squad standing, by collecting weapons and resources in the ultimate battle royale melee. A stand out feature is that players can also use health packages to bring fellow teammates back to life, provided it is within the specified timeframe.
It is believed that the idea for Apex Legends came about during the development of another hit title. Due to the popularity of battle royale-style games spreading like wildfire, EA capitalized on the concept that gave birth to Apex Legends.
